At The Tiny Tassel, we love carrying some of our favorite local brands from some amazing vendors like Urbane Baby!
We Interviewed Urbane Baby, a local Charleston company that started in 2008! Liz Reeder, the founder of Urbane Baby, is a mother of three children and loves to create inspiring and fun children's clothing and accessories!
What’s the short story behind your business name?
The word "urbane" means notably polite or polished in manner. I love the word "urban" inside it. I think it defines my clothing and fabric choices because they are sweet and polished but often with a little funk or edge to them! Also, the logo started as a mama and baby bird representing my daughter, Carson, and me. When I had my twin boys, Hank and Jack, I just put "my three birds" as the logo!
How adorable is Urbane Baby's Girls Peasant Dress? It's perfect for your mini Charleston lover and can even be paired with one of our handmade Rainbow Row garments!
What’s the best way to end your day?
Wine and TV on the couch!
What is your favorite thing about Charleston?
I love the architecture. I was a HistoricPreservation major at the College of Charleston, so I love old buildings!
We love Urbane Baby's reversible bib that has a Rainbow Row print on the front and an adorable pineapple print on the back!

We're back with our third collaboration with Simplified! We've partnered with Simplified by Emily Ley to create a limited edition holiday collection of earrings and accessories that bring joy to every day!
The Tiny Tassel team sure knows how to celebrate a holiday! We had a blast hosting a neighborhood Trick or Treat Shopping Event on Saturday, October 28th in the Cannonborough - Elliotborough neighborhood! With costumes, shopping, and surprise promos, it was a day full of treats, with no tricks!
