Letters from Charleston - Summer Sneak Peek

Summer is here and we’ve been working so hard this year to design so many fun new styles for y’all– from colorful new dresses to new whimsical earrings, I can’t wait to share it all with you. This year has looked and felt a lot different for us at TTT and if you’re a small business owner you can probably relate. We’ve gotten back to our roots and have been working more intentionally to design and create joyful styles that you’ll love and wear over and over. You may have noticed that we haven’t launched a ton of new styles and that’s been on purpose. About a year ago I realized we had SO MUCH INVENTORY and we made a commitment to sell those styles instead of staying caught on the hamster wheel (that we honestly couldn’t keep up with).  If you’ve been following along, you’ve seen sneak peeks of our new summer clothing, designed and illustrated by my mom, Keiko, and I’m so excited to give you first access to shop it early TODAY!  I have two new prints to share with you– our Charleston Toile in hot pink (!!!) and our sunny new abstract print, both designed to make life more joyful. We brought the charm of Charleston to life on a selection of our must-have summer styles. Bright and bold, these are the prints you’ll be wearing for every and any occasion this season.  Y’all sold us out of our original Charleston Toile in navy and y’all know I’m a pink girlie so we had to bring it back in hot pink! Keiko designed a brand new dress silhouette that’s so fun and flattering + it has the most subtle bows on the shoulders. We usually name every style after a Charleston street name or icon and for this one we went with The Mimi Dress! We’ve never named a dress after me and I wouldn’t choose a more perfect one to do so + we had a little fun with my favorite clutch  of all time too! A few things that brought me joy this week: -Wearing our brand new Radcliffe top paired with our Montagu shorts -Re-reading one of my favorite books by Tia Williams  -Making a pitcher of this peach lemonade!

Letters From Charleston - May 19th

If you missed last Sunday’s email, you missed our updated BLOG! For our OG tassel lovers, you know we started with #EveryDayImTasselin to Tassel Talk, and now you’re getting these weekly letters from me. Y’all have been loving these notes including my favorite styles from the shop, new recipes to try and small businesses that you must check out. Because of this, we wanted to create an easy way for you to access these letters anytime.  You’re the first to know the Septima Scarf details. Keiko illustrated this print to celebrate the Iconic Women in our lives, and it’s so fabulous! This month is  AAPI month and it’s so important to show representation through our designs and art. I’ve loved having this as a safe space to share our experiences with y’all!  This week TTT was featured on News Nation on another panel segment to highlight small businesses around the country! This panel was so needed and shed light on the importance of shopping small and supporting your favorite businesses in your community.        A few things that brought me joy this week: We had so many balloon orders! I love getting to be a small part of your celebrations. I added a new charm to one of our new essential necklaces. (I love layering it with my Minnie Necklace!) It's finally warm enough in Charleston to bring out all the summer styles! I hope you have a great week!  Happy Tasseling, Mimi

Letters From Charleston

Today i’m sending love & joy to each of you, whether you’re celebrating Mother’s Day or celebrating the iconic women in your life! I’m not a mom, but I know how impactful it’s been for me to have really thoughtful and creative women pour into my life over the years, whether it’s my mom, sisters, aunts, BFFs moms, or you reading this— i’m so grateful! If you’re treating yourself to something special or still looking for the perfect gift, I've got you covered!   This week I got to participate in a panel for Yahoo Finance & talk about all things small business. The conversation was so needed and we were able to share a glimpse into the state of small business as we’re experiencing it now. If you follow along on Instagram, you have seen me share about this being our hardest year ever to reach our revenue goals, and yet we’re still hopeful. For us at the TTT it’s so much more than just designing and selling you cute things. It’s all about creating a space where you can feel confident and show up authentically as you. It’s about empowering our team and creating a healthy workspace that values and honors them. It’s about recreating the face of retail and showing that you can find joy while working hard, and also that slow fashion truly still exists and can continue to be delighted in (by special people like you!).  As a special thank you to our shoppers we extended our current promotion— if you spend $100 you’ll receive our  Emily Clutch for FREE! Just add it to your cart & use the promo code ICONICWOMEN through tonight.  A few things that brought me joy this week: Our Melrose rings are back in stock!  I’ve been wearing these pink hoops on repeat I saved this recipe to try out using blueberries from my garden (!!)
