Our garments are hand-cut and every pattern piece is perfectly scaled for every size in every style, from XS to 3XL.
The Tiny Tassel’s core value of joy is incorporated into all our designs. Each piece is created with those special, everyday moments in mind for an extra dose of delight. Our brand focuses on handmade jewelry, clothing, and accessories inspired by the vibrant colors of Charleston, SC.
Mimi works closely with lead designer, her mother Keiko Striplin, to curate a fresh collection every season. Every colorful tiny tassel is handmade in Charleston, SC by a creative women-led team.
Our goal is to produce wearable styles, not waste. However, waste is a byproduct of clothing, jewelry, and accessories production. We're committed to be more intentional with what we produce. To do our part in sustainability, we produce in limited quantities to ensure we don't make more than needed. We also partner with local non-profits to donate items to increase sustainability.
In 2015, Mimi Striplin founded The Tiny Tassel online and our flagship store, located in Charleston’s quaint Cannonborough-Elliotborough neighborhood, opened in March 2021. Amongst the pastel-painted walls and lowcountry chic interior finds, you'll discover signature pieces like the brand’s namesake tiny tassel earrings, beautiful apparel, and vibrant accessories in classic prints and bold colors. Every tiny tassel is still handmade in Charleston, SC by our powerful women-led team.
As a woman and global majority led company, our values—diversity, creativity, and individuality—are at the core of who we are and what we aim to bring to our shop.
We like to think, “there’s a tassel for everyone!” You’ll see these ideas reflected in our bold designs with inspiration coming from Charleston and beyond, but also in how we interact with one another and with our customers.
We've partnered with local and global organizations to give generously by designing limited edition styles that represent organizations and causes, and by giving monetary donations to make an impact in our community.
Our latest collaborations include Charleston Legal Access, Salood, and Be a Mentor, The American Heart Association, and The Period Project.
