The Brimm is a team of women business coaches, founded by Sallie Holder, who provide online coaching and resources for female entrepreneurs. The Brimm holds it’s annual retreat for their clients once a year in a different city each time. Mimi has always had a passion for helping and guiding others and creating space for women to dominate in the world of entrepreneurship. Mimi is a business coach for The Brimm and facilitated one of the guest panels during this retreat. It’s always a wonderful experience to gain knowledge from other female entrepreneurs, while learning how to apply these concepts to your own business and strengthening relationships with peers and other friends. Thank you @baileytoksozphotography for the images.
Supporting other women owned brands has always been a priority for The Tiny Tassel. One business we have always admired is BuDhaGirl. Mimi discovered BuDhaGirl’s Gold All Weather Bangles years ago and they haven’t left her arm since! We had the honor of hosting a Female Founded Brands networking event with BuDhaGirl at local restaurant, Gingerline. The event consisted of light bites and drinks provided by Gingerline, live music by Harlm, make your own flower bouquets from The Flower Pedal Charleston, a shopping experience from The Tiny Tassel and BuDhaGirl, and photography by The Aneris Collective. Guests were able to relax and mingle with other powerful women in the local Charleston community. It was a wonderful afternoon full of fun and events like these leave us feeling so grateful to be apart of the Charleston community!
Mimi has a deep love for Charleston and the people here. The support she’s received from locals and fellow small business owners has helped propel the growth of The Tiny Tassel over the years in ways she could not have imagined. It isn’t just the strong sense of community that she loves - it is the food too! Charleston is known as one of the most significant foodie cities in the United States and rightly so. The Holy City boasts an impressive repertoire of restaurants and eateries that proudly and very intentionally create dining experiences that center around as much locally sourced ingredients as possible.
We spoke with Mimi and asked what are some of her top recommendations to try in Charleston. We must say, this is a great list that we know you will love to try out whenever you visit Charleston. Be sure to mention that The Tiny Tassel sent you.
Bar + Restaurant
If you’re looking for a place that embodies the southern coastal elegance of Charleston, Gingerline (we just can’t get enough of them) is where to go. A bright and colorful dining room is where vibrant cocktails and a refreshing menu of delicious Southern-inspired food.
International Cuisine
Pink Bellies is a Vietnamese American restaurant located in the heart of downtown Charleston. It attracts diners of diverse backgrounds who are looking for great drinks and dishes that burst with flavor. You will not be disappointed.
Bakery
For dessert, head to Swank Desserts. It’s a small dessert shop located about 20 minutes outside of Charleston in a nearby town called Summerville. It is worth the drive! They offer a variety of decadent desserts made daily from scratch that are equally beautiful to look at.
